Warzecka, Mary Beth of Folsom and long-time resident of Davis, CA passed away peacefully from cancer on January 25 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on August 20, 1954, Mary was a loving wife, mother, sister and a friend to many. She is survived by her husband Greg, son Brett, daughter Lindsay Cox, son-in-law Travis Cox, brothers and sisters Ann Griswold, Donald Paasch, Mark Paasch, Keith Paasch, Teresa Flanders, Robert Paasch, Julie Herring, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother Josephine Paasch and brother Joel Paasch. She was a very caring mother, wife and dear friend, always helping others before thinking of herself. Mary worked at Brown Construction, Inc of West Sacramento for 19 years as an Accounting Manager. Her presence was quickly felt by her familiar laugh and her engaging personality. Warm and genuine to the core, Mary always would go out of her way to help others in need and will be missed greatly by those who knew her as a friend and confidant. She was an amazing friend to her extended UC Davis family that reached well beyond the environment of college athletics. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church, 307 Montrose Drive, Folsom, CA on Friday, January 30 at 11:00 AM. A reception will follow the Mass in the Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the UC Davis Cancer Center in recognition of the care and medical support provided by the doctors and nurses, or to the UC Davis Children's Hospital.
