Tommy Joe "T.J." Forest. Born July 2, 1956 in Blythe, California to Mary and Buck Forest. Passed away peacefully on January 29, 2013 in Palm Desert after his courageous battle with liver cancer. Tom had a profounding effect on every person he met. He always put a smile on peoples' faces whether it was his telling a joke, stories or just by being in his presence. He definitely thought he could dance and the best and most appreciated gift you could give him was a bag of rocks. He was an avid rock collector and definitely knew how to party, but what he cherished most was his family. Tom is survived by his beloved wife Diana, his loving children Christia and Thomas Forest. He is also survived by his father, Buck Forest, his sisters, Terrie Wamhoff and Tammie Usher and by his brother, Marlton Forest and by his many relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Snyder in 2012. Memorial Service on Friday, February 8, 2013 at 11:00 am at Wiefels Mortuary Chapel, 690 S. Vella Road, Palm Springs, CA. 92264.
