Vasan, Dr. Rangachari Srini July 29, 1948 - December 22, 2012 Dr. Rangachari Srini Vasan, 64, passed away on December 22nd 2012 doing what he loved most, playing tennis. Dr. Vasan, lovingly known as Vasu , is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Rukmani, his daughters, Sheila and Anita, son-in-law, Rahul, and granddaughter, Sanna. Born in Chennai, India on July 29th 1948, Vasu was the youngest of 5 siblings. He moved to Los Angeles in 1979 with Rukmani to start his Hematology-Oncology practice. Dr. Vasan soon became a prominent figure in the Southern California medical community, saving the lives of countless patients. "Doc" has touched the lives of many, including patients and their families, colleagues and friends. Dr. Vasan will be fondly remembered at Forest Lawn Hall of Liberty, Hollywood Hills, at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 29th 2012.
