Pierce, Miles, born March 4, 1923 in Ozona, Texas passed peacefully on Oct. 13, 2011. Born to Victor I. and Ada L. Pierce, ranchers in Crockett County, Texas, Miles played the trumpet in the high school band. He attended UT Arlington and graduated valedictorian Texas A M, 1945. He was married January 14, 1950 to Jacqueline Theis (deceased) of Midland, Tx. They had 3 sons, Victor Pierce (deceased), Julian Miles Pierce and wife, Jan of Fort Davis, Tx and Anton Grey Pierce of Santa Fe NM, and his son, Harlin Ansun Pierce. He is survived by Michael D. Rittiman, his life partner of 39 years. Visitation, Friday, 5-7pm, service, Saturday, 11am both at Olinger Crown Hill, 29th Wadsworth, entombment to follow.
