Paul Joseph Patane, 86 years old, loving husband of Catrina Patane for 44 years and a resident of Redwood City for 60 years, passed away Saturday, April 26 at Kaiser Hospital in Redwood City.

Born to Fortunata and Paulo Patane on April 4, 1928 in San Francisco, Paul leaves behind, in addition to his wife, a step-son, Vito Bua, two sister-in-laws Rose and Joanne Patane, grandchildren in Italy, a number of nieces and nephews in Italy and the United States, their spouses and several God children. Paul also leaves behind many good friends in his Italian community.

Paul worked for Hussmann Machinery and the Sequoia Union High School District for a number years before retiring. Paul's hobbies included archery, saber skills, hunting, photography and music.

A vigil service will be held Monday, May 5, 2014 at Crippen & Flynn Woodside Chapel, 400 Woodside Rd., Redwood City at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at St. Pius Church, 1100 Woodside Road, Redwood City at 10:00 a.m.

Paul is once again united with his mother and father; sisters Ida and Marie and his brothers Vincent and Morris. The story is complete.
