Jackie J. Lowry of Placentia was born in Morristown Tennessee to Aaron and Barbara Combs. She grew up in Lawton Oklahoma where she attended Cameron Junior College. She then attended Oklahoma State University where she earned a BA in French and later attended California State University Fullerton where she earned a BA in Business Administration. She was a sales tax auditor for the California State Board of Equalization until she retired in 1998. Jackie loved needlepoint. She was a charter member of the Orange Coast Sampler Guild and a past president of the Point to Point Chapter of the American Needlepoint Guild. She is survived by her husband, Philip Lowry of Placentia and one sister, Julia Killins of Yucca Valley. A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel at Loma Vista Memorial Park in Fullerton.
