James Lee Blanson Passed away peacefully December 21, 2012. Beloved husband of Dinah Faye Watts-Blanson; loving father of Lisa Blanson-Detweiler, Wanda Blanson, April Blanson, Portia Blanson and Shannon Watts-Blanson; grandfather of Mr. James and Chris Detweiler, Reyna Boykins, Jasmine Cooksey and eight great grandchildren; son of Lee James and the late K.C. Blanson; brother of Otis Blanson, Chester Blanson, Regina Ross and Andre James; James is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
James was a College graduate then became a Sergeant in the United States Army. After the Army, James worked for the United States Postal Service as a mail handler then became an officer for the Richmond Police Department followed by a San Francisco County Sheriff. His last position was as a Sergeant/Inspector for the San Francisco Police Department.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial Service Saturday January 19, 2013 at 1:00pm at Ingleside United Presbyterian Church, 1345 Ocean Ave, San Francisco.
