Our beloved Josephine passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by love, on Sunday morning, November 16th. Born on Telegraph Hill Feb 24, 1925 to parents Guido and Giuditta Bosoni, Jo lived almost 70 years at her home on Union Street. A proud CAL grad, class of '48, Jo taught for over 35 years in SF public schools. Married to Walter (deceased) in 1950, she raised 4 children while teaching. She loved a sweet manhattan, dim sum and all things Italian. Jo had a zest for life and was an inspiration to all who knew her. Survived by her children Judy Betro (Joe), Janet Alex (Keith), Paul Honn (Nata) and Guy Honn (deceased) and grandchildren Juliet Siegel (Justin), Jenna Moore (Matt), Jared Betro (Delphine), and Jackson Betro. The birth of three great granddaughters in the past three years, Josefina and Jocelyn Siegel and Mila Moore brought her immense joy. She leaves behind her beloved sister and brother-in-law, Ines and Gianni Oldini and her adored niece and downstairs guardian angel, Christina Oldini and son GianCarlo. Jo survived a horrific fall in 2011 and continued to live a joyful productive life due to the loving care from Zeny and Carmen and the wonderful staff at Kaiser SF. Please join the family in celebrating Josephine's life on Friday, November 21, at St. Vincent de Paul Church, Green at Steiner, visitation starting at 8:30a, Mass at 9:15a. Reception to follow.
