Garcia, Lowell

Garcia, Lowell Ernest Passed away in his sleep on Dec. 16, 2014 at the age of 72. He was born on Aug. 23, 1942, the only child of the late Ernest and Eva Garcia. He was a lifelong resident of Sacramento. For the past 26 years, Lowell has received support from the Alta Regional Center and the Southside Art Center. He loved to make jewelry, attend events sponsored by the Center, and speak at many conferences. Lowell was a very giving person who liked to help others. He loved teddy bears, tea parties, Devonshire Creams and his cat Totsie. He will be missed by many friends and neighbors, especially his only cousin, Pamela Wittpen and his best friend, Todd Befield. A special thank you to Linda Mendez,Todd's mother, who took Lowell to Parkside Community Church for Sunday services. Linda's family loved Lowell. He was blessed with many wonderful neighbors along Fremont Avenue. During the past year Lowell was able to continue living in his family home, receiving excellent care from the compassionate staff at New Beginnings Care for Exceptional People. A memorial service and viewing will be held at Klumpp's Chapel of Flowers, 2691 Riverside Blvd. on Tuesday, Dec. 23rd at 6:30 p.m. Graveside services will be Wednesday, Dec. 24th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Cemetery
