John J. Elias passed away suddenly of a heart attack on April 5, 2014, doing what he loved, showing a friend how to make a curb. He is survived by 5 children, 10 grandchildren, 8 great- grandchildren and his sister Majorie Simon. He was born and raised in Brookfield, Wisconsin. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corp and proudly served from 1956 to 1962 while stationed at Camp Pendleton, Oceanside CA. He raised his family in Tustin, CA. In 1962 he bought his first dump truck and started J. ELIAS Trucking. He later went into the concrete and curbing business. His passion was Sprint Car Racing. A private graveside Memorial Service will be held May 10th at Riverside National Cemetery.
