Edward F. Belluomini Sr.
March 19, 2013
90 Years Old
Known as "The Planter of The Seed". Ed was born and raised in Oakland, CA and graduated from Oakland Tech High School. Ed leaves his beloved wife of 70 years, Donna, whom he met at Lake Merritt where it all began. He is survived by children: Rachelle Nichols (Fred), Edward Belluomini Jr. (Donna), Cary Belluomini, and daughter-in-law Debra Belluomini. Proud grandpa to 7 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. Ed served 3 years in the US Air Force, was a Master Mason, and a California Highway Patrol Officer for 28 years. Ed is described by his family as a Master of all Crafts, Biscotti Baker, Signature Manhattan Maker, Green Thumb, One Flake Ed, and Expert Fibber. He had a warm and humorous nature, and made everyone he met feel like family. Ed was a die-hard fan of Bay Area sports teams, especially the 49ers, Giants, and Oakland A's. He loved telling stories about his time as a Highway Patrolman, and adventures building the family cabin in Tahoe. Ed passed in his sleep at his home surrounded by family. He joins his son Craig, son-in-law Fred and brother Harold, living forever in their family's hearts and memories. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the CAHP Widow and Orphans' Trust Fund P.O. Box 161209, Sacramento, CA 95816. A celebration of his life will be held 1p.m. April 7th at 1097 Sycamore Drive in Millbrae.
