Tributes for

Christian, Barbara

Our beautiful mother passed away quietly and peacefully at her home surrounded by her family. She was born May 31st in Liverpool England and lived a long and full filled life. During World War II she served as a Wren in the Women's Branch of the British Royal Navy. She was stationed in Sri Lanka and worked on the famous Enigma Machine. During this time she met and fell in love with her husband, Frank Christian. After the War she left her family in Great Britain, made the journey to Orange, California where she married her husband Frank of 50 years and raised her children. In addition to being an amazing mother, she delivered Meals on Wheels for more than 50 years. She was an avid reader, loved playing bridge and going to the movies with her friends. Most of all she loved her family and always looked forward to talking to her sister Ann and niece Caroline in England. We will miss her contagious smile, the little squeeze of her hand and the way she made everyone feel special. Anyone who met her fell in love with her. Barbara is survived by her children, Julie Wiseman, Mark Christian, Jeff Christian, Gina Pepe; her grandchildren, great grandchildren; and her beloved dog, Suki. A memorial service for Barbara will be held on Thursday, November 6th at 12:00 at Fairhaven Memorial Park at Waverly Chapel, 1702 Fairhaven Ave, Santa Ana,CA 92705.
