Brooks, Sr., Mark Anthony

Resident of Sacramento for 36 years. Survived by three sons, Derrick, Terry and Mark Jr., brothers, Clarence, George and Tim Brooks; cousins, nieces, uncle, aunts and friends. Mark graduated from Cordova High School in 1980 and Sacramento State University receiving a BA in Psychology. While stationed in Japan as Army Military Intelligence he became the Junior Featherweight Champion of Japan and was ranked #2 in the world of professional boxing. He later joined the Sacramento Police Department for 5 years and was an exceptional police officer. He will always be loved and missed by his family and friends! Celebration of life will be held on April 17, 2014 11:00 am at Sierra View Funeral Chapel 6201 Fair Oaks Blvd, Carmichael, CA 95608. Interment to follow at 2:00 pm at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, CA. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to Derrick, Terry and Mark Jr. Brooks at 2632 Verdello Way, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670
