Tributes for

Bohne, Elizabeth Ann

Elizabeth Ann Bohne, aged 79, of Tucson, AZ and Petoskey, MI, died Saturday, June 11, 2022. She was born April 20, 1943, in St. Joseph, MI, to Marie and Charles Solon Sr. Her father’s birthday was also June 11. She was a treasured wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Beth’s talents were many. Her grandchildren wish to share the following: Grandma was selfless beyond measure and exceedingly classy. She was an inspiring example of bravery, strength, and positivity even to her last day. Grandma is recognized as being creative unlike anyone else. Her cleverness, attention to detail, and originality allowed her to do everything with excellence. This is especially true when it came to her thoughtful gift giving, interior design, and baking expertise. She was “crazy fun” personified with impressive wit, charm, and cheerfulness. Her specialty was making people laugh when they needed it most. As a grandma, she was exceptional at giving us what we needed; a good laugh, correction, listening ear, sound counsel, or a fresh cookie. She was our family’s biggest fan and ensured we were aware of each other’s accomplishments. In short, Grandma knew how to make you feel special.

Beth was preceded in death by her infant sister, Mary Solon; granddaughter, Samantha L. Russell; grandson, Adam Bohne; granddaughter unnamed; great grandchild unnamed; and sisters-in-law, Doris Solon, Patricia A. Budnick and Marilyn R. Anderson. She is survived by her husband of almost 55 years, John D. “Jack” Bohne; children, Geoffrey (Anhthu) Bohne of Poway, CA, Gretchen (Tony) Martinez of Dallas, TX, John K.
