Beckwith, Marlin Lee Born on January 14,1938 in Emmett, Idaho, and raised in Payette, Idaho, Marlin passed away on July 6, 2014 at the age of 76 after a 3 week battle with cancer. He died peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Debra Beckwith, cherished father of Randy Beckwith of Sacramento, Brenda Beckwith (Karen Whyte) of Victoria, British Columbia and Heather Morris (Charles Washington) of Sacramento, and loved sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Carl Farley of Ontario, Oregon. Grandfather of Cece and Max Beckwith and Ariana and Omoree Washington, all of Sacramento. Also survived by his former wife, Ramona Beckwith, Preceded in death by his parents, Loren and Cleda Beckwith. He graduated in 1961 from the University of Idaho and in the same year joined the US Army. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Captain. Marlin worked at the California Department of Transportation for 37 years and held several high level positions - Deputy Director of Administration, Chief of the Computer Services Division, and retired as Chief of the Aeronautics Division. Marlin was a proud member of SIRS 93, an avid golfer and loyal Giants and 49ers fan. Marlin will be missed not only by his loving family, but by his golfing buddies, many friends and co-workers. Debra will remember her husband as a man who respected others and, who in turn, was well respected by many. She will always cherish Marlin for being her dance partner in life. Marlin's children Brenda, Heather and Randy will remember their father as a devoted, reassuring man who loved life. At his request, there will be no services but we hope each of you will remember Marlin as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.
