Richard Allen Zatorski passed away on May 21, 2017 due to complications from Parkinson’s disease. He was 82. Rich was born on July 23, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois to Helen and Harry Zatorski. He met his first wife Marge Casey in grade school. He served two years in the U.S. Army stationed in Germany. He married Marge in 1957 and had four children. He completed his apprenticeship with the IBEW, Local 134 in Chicago and in 1961 moved his family to Los Angeles joining Local 11, where he was known as the “Polish Prince”.

Rich married Helene Kafka in 1973 and became a stepfather to her four children. He later relocated from Reseda to Truckee, CA, where he built his custom home and lived for 20 years. He loved traveling overseas and tending to his gardens.

Rich is survived by his wife Helene, previous wife Marge (Karl), sons Bob (Jan) and Bill Zatorski, daughters Karen Mitchell (Gary) and Sharon Gordon (Don), three stepchildren Michael (Lois), Margo, and Lauren, eleven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. His stepson Steven Fennelly passed away last year. Services will be held at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Reseda on July 8, 2017 at 10:00 am.
