Catherine passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 14, 2012, losing her two-year battle with multiple myeloma. At the time of her death, she was surrounded by her family at her home.

Catherine was born on September 3, 1933 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Josephine and Harry Stewart. She married Richard E. Woznichak in February of 1951 and had 6 children. Following a job transfer for Richard, they moved their family to Placentia, California in 1968.

Cathy or Kay, as she was known by her family and friends, put her love of family first. She loved to cook and bake, enjoyed gardening and was a talented piano player in her younger years. Cathy stayed home to raise her family for many years, but later had a successful career in real estate in North Orange County.

Catherine is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Richard, her six children, Rick, Rod, Mark, Cathy Spencer, Gerry, and Terri Anderson, 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She will be remembered for being a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, January 23, 2012 at Pope John Paul II Polish Center in Yorba Linda with a graveside service to follow at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Orange.
