Wight, Carlyle Grover

Wight, Carlyle Grover, was born January 31, 1950 in Brigham City, Utah. He and his wife, Carolyn were married in the Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on June 13, 1950. Their marriage and eternal courtship has been a wonderful example to their family. It is full of joy and love. Carlyle was a very intelligent man who held a great number of patents for his work as an employee at the Union Oil Research Center for over 34 years. He was full of love for his family, the gospel of Jesus Christ, and the United States of America. He enjoyed genealogy, science, trees, flowers, gardening, camping trips, vacation trips with his family, and new experiences and learning. Carlyle passed away October 20, 2013 surrounded by family. He was preceded in death by his lovely wife, Carolyn (2006), his parents and one great-grandchild (Preston, 2006), and is survived by four children, Dale Wight (Barbara), Donna Cocanour (John), Dorothy Brinck (Brian) and Darrell Wight (Cindy); 25 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren. He is a 62 year resident of Fullerton, California. Viewing will be held Friday from 5-7 p.m. at Fairhaven Memorial Park. Services will be held at the LDS church at 801 North Raymond Avenue, in Fullerton, California, Saturday, October 26, 2013. The viewing will be held at 10:00 A.M. with funeral services at 11:00 A.M. Burial will be at the Fairhaven Memorial Park.
