Wick, C.Z.

Wick, C.Z. died peacefully in his sleep of heart failure on Monday, March 19, 2012 at the age of 59. C.Z. was born October 30, 1952, in New York City and lived his life in Los Angeles, California. A graduate of UCLA and USC law school, C.Z. became President of Wick Financial Corporation in 2010, and prior served as an entertainment industry executive as Director of Dramatic Development for ABC Television, President of Michael Douglas Television, and as a television executive for the late Dodi Fayed. Known for his humor and his kindness, C.Z.'s expansive heart reached out to an ever-growing circle of friends. C.Z. was everyone's champion. He was also a musician, graphic designer, and political activist. Most of all he was a proud and devoted father to his beloved daughter, Vivian. C.Z. was the oldest son of the late Mary Jane and Charles Z. Wick, former head of the United States Information Agency under President Ronald Reagan. He leaves behind a cherished daughter Vivian Eve, 12, a loving wife Susan Cridland Wick, and four adoring siblings, Douglas Z. Wick, Pamela Wick, Cynthia Wick, and Kimberly Wick. He also leaves behind eight nieces and six nephews who shall never forget their uncle. Services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 31, at the Westwood United Methodist Church, 10497 Wilshire Boulevard. Immediately following a graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills, 6300 Forest Lawn Drive. Contributions in memory of C.Z. may be made to the Mercy Corps.
