Wening, Richard Edgar, age 82, died peacefully at home in Laguna Woods on Saturday, June 20, 2015. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Gabrielle; sister, Mary; brother, Bill Wening (Joyce); nieces and nephews; and step-son, Bob Ungar (Nancy). Born in Dayton, Ohio on November 12, 1932, Richard will be missed and fondly remembered by his family and many friends that he met throughout his life after moving to his beloved Southern California in the mid 1960's. He was a kind, soft-spoken, gentle spirit who loved writing poetry, painting and rooting on his beloved alma mater, Ohio Buckeyes. Richard never met a person he didn't like, and one would be hard-pressed to find a person who did not enjoy Richard's company as well. The profound sorrow of our loss can only be alleviated by knowing that Richard truly experienced a full and rewarding life. Funeral will be held at the Chapel of McCormick & Son Funeral Home, 25000 Moulton Parkway, Laguna Hills, at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 26th.
