A wonderful wife and mother, who lived with grace and kindness.

She was married to Cal for 58 years before he left for Heaven in August 2013.

Sister to John Turner (Rosalie) and Sally Aronno (Bob).

Mother of nine; Cal, Dave (Kris), Mary, Carolyn, Mike, Dorie Rich (Dave), Jody Rael (Louie), Becky Zyzkowski (Cliff), and Richard.

Grandma to Sarah, Alexandra, Adam, Tim, Jason (Corinne), Jennifer, Jessica, Callie, Casey, Louie Jr., Elizabeth, Mindy, Sam and Jackson.
Great Grandma to Logan and Breccan.

Mom was the glue; she kept us together as a family and as best friends. She was hostess to every holiday, birthday and regular Sunday night dinner. She kept us on time, respectful and guided us through the turmoil of youth.

She made sure we received our sacraments, supported our activities, and invited all our friends over for meals.

Supported Dad in his business, his car racing and baseball coaching, never complained and always complimented.

She met Dad on a blind date while she was a student at UCLA and they married soon after Dad returned from the Korean War.

When business got tough for Dad she went to work to help make ends meet. First selling cosmetics, then worked to earn a certificate in tax accounting so she could help families with their taxes in the evenings after we all had dinner.

Then she pursued Real Estate and began selling homes in Orange County at Red Hill Realty. After a few successful years in the business she went back to night school to study Law and passed the Bar Exam in 1981 with a specialty in Real Estate Law.

She founded North Hills Realty with Don Klein in 1977 and was an owner/Broker for 30 years.

She was a world traveler as well taking an annual trip somewhere exotic. Five photographic safari’s in Africa, the Great Wall in China, Russia, SCUBA diving the Great Barrier Reef, flew on the Concord to France, took a train from Vancouver Canada to Niagara Falls, Went to both the North Pole and South Pole and so many others they cannot all be listed.

She loved her husband, children and grandchildren so much and to be gathered together was some of her happiest moments. Then to be blessed with two great grandkids was almost unbelievable to her- but it did make her feel very old!

She shared her zeal for life with her family, many who joined her on those fantastic trips.

She had an open door for anyone who worked with her at North Hills, both professionally and personally. Always had a smile, an ear to listen and a shoulder to cry on.

Her family used all three often.

The loss of her husband was the only thing in Mom’s life she couldn’t get over, couldn’t fix, and couldn’t forget.

This week mom died of a broken heart. She is in Heaven now with dad, smiling and happy. Getting ready for Sunday night dinner with her best friend.

“Today my soul has flown away
Don’t worry for me I can still hear you pray.
Family and Love has cheered me forever
I promise you all it couldn’t get better”

Her funeral mass will be celebrated 2 p.m. Friday May 9th at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 51 Marketplace, Irvine, California 92602. 949-551-8601
A reception will be held at Dave and Kris Wells home immediately following.1062 Dorsetshire Lane, Santa Ana 92705.
