Tributes for

Torrence, Jeanine

Jeanine Hendricks Torrence was first and foremost a loving mother, daughter, sister, and a very dear friend. She loved people, befriended them, and made them laugh. She recently passed away in Newport Beach after a short illness.

Jeanine was born on February 8, 1942 to Marie and L. Porter Hendricks at Good Samaritan Hospital. She lived in Beverly Hills and Hancock Park until she moved with her family to Newport Beach. She continued to spend time in Los Angeles thereafter with family and for her beloved USC. USC’s football games and good times were a huge part of her life. She loved the beach and family trips to Hawaii. Jeanine gave to everyone around her and participated in charitable work for her alma mater USC, the Adoption Guild, Good Shepard Center for Homeless Women, and the Barbara Sinatra Children’s Center for Abused Children charity events. Jeanine lived a life based on values of respect, integrity and honesty and always maintained a positive outlook.

Jeanine is survived by her three children, Scott Torrence (wife Missy McNamara), Stefanie Torrence Bates (husband Jason), and Sean Torrence (wife Sue Alford). She has two grandchildren, Jessica and Brennan Bates. She is also survived by her two sisters Toni Hodgkiss (husband Tom) and Louise Korshak (husband Stuart). She also leaves behind her nephews Daniel Hodgkiss (wife Alison Cope) and Mark Korshak and nieces Lauren and Joanna Korshak. She has two great nephews, Porter and Patrick Hodgkiss.

Services will be private for family only.
