Stephen Michael Stearns (born June 4, 1947 in Exeter, CA) passed away peacefully on June 9, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. Son of Ilo Cameron Stearns and Katherine Louise Stearns, he is survived by his devoted wife Kathleen McCarthy Stearns, daughters Laurie Donahue and Jennie Stearns, his three loving grandchildren, Ryan Donahue, Mikayla Stearns and Jessica Donahue, siblings, and many nieces and nephews. Steve lived with great kindness in his heart and deep respect for others, and enjoyed traveling, music, high school athletics and the SF Giants. He was a high school coach at Piedmont Hills HS (17 years) and worked as an Assistant CIF-CCS Commissioner (19 years). His infectious smile and big bear hugs had an immediate impact on everyone he met. Memorial services will be held on July 29, 2016 at 11:30am at Bayside Church (8191 Sierra College Blvd, Roseville, CA 95661 - B-121/Video Cafe). In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for any donations to be sent to St. Jude's Hospital (stjudes.org) In memory of "The Big Boy", be kind to each other.
