Pastor Freddie Lee Simpkins, age 66, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2013 Fred was born in Columbia, S.C. on May 20, 1947 to the late Henry and Elvita Simpkins. Fred followed in his father's footsteps when he joined the Army in 1966. He was honorably discharged from the service in 1969 and married Evyonne Claborne on July 12, 2013 of that year. He began working for Hewlett Packard in 1971 and retired in 2003 after 32 years. Fred's career as a pastor began in 1986 when he became an ordained minister. He founded Clear Voice Ministries soon after his ordination and that ministry continues today. In 2007 he founded and became overseer of International Kingdom Fellowship. He completed his education with a Bachelor's Degree in Business and Christian Education in 2000 and a Master's Degree in Christian Counseling in 2003 and a Doctorate of Christian Counseling in 2008. He shared his knowledge and inspired students as a professor at World Harvest Bible College and Seminary from 2006-2008 and William Jessup University from 2007-2008.
Family and friends are invited to the wake at the Chapel of the Valley in Roseville on Friday, October 25, 2013 from 8 to 10 p.m. Funeral services for 66 year old Pastor Freddie Lee Simpkins, a long-time resident of Placer County will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Abundant Life Fellowship in Roseville with Pastor Joy Johnson presiding. Burial will be held at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, Calif., on Monday, October 28, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Chapel of the Valley Roseville, Calif.
