Shafer, Jon A. "Jack," 72, a business owner and resident of Tustin died July 20, 2011. Besides his wife, Kay C. Shafer, he leaves sons, John (Kathleen) Shafer and Todd (Mariluz) Shafer; brother, Larry Shafer; granddaughter, Kayleen Shafer. Jack was active in the city of Tustin serving on the board of the Tustin Boys and Girls Club, President of the Chamber of Commerce, selected as Tustin Man of the Year. Jack was also a member of the Rotary Club and Lions Club. Visitation will be held on Wednesday July 27, 2011 from 4-8 p1m. with a vigil at 7 pm. followed by a funeral service on Thursday July 28, 2011 at 2 p.m. in Saddleback Chapel - Tustin. A reception will follow the service at the Tustin Community Center, 300 Centennial Way, Tustln. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in Jack's name to the Boys and Girls Club of Tustin, 580 W. 6' St., Tustin, CA 92780.
