Sample, Ima, 89, a longtime resident of Santa Ana, passed away on Sunday, June 26. She was surrounded by her adoring family.

The eternal optimist, Ima could always find the redeeming quality in anyone she encountered. Her smile and laughter were contagious. She enjoyed cooking and shared a lifelong passion for music with her daughters. And she never met an animal she didn't love.

Ima was born in Riverside, CA on May 30, 1922 to the late Frederick and Edith Sample and was preceded in death by her brothers William, Harold, and Art.

She is survived by three daughters: Christine, of Orange, CA; Carly, of San Francisco, CA; and Candice, of Austin,TX. She is also survived by numerous adoring nieces and nephews, family and friends.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday July 1st at Holy Family Cathedral with interment immediately following in Santa Ana Cemetery, (This sample listing has used only 947 of the 7500 characters)
