McGuire, Ruth Mary, 87, passed away on January 10, 2013. Ruth was born on March 24, 1925 in Eau Claire, WI to Albert and Mary Lou Carpenter, she was the last surviving child of 8. Ruth had a life long devotion to her Roman Catholic faith and special fondness for novenas. Her greatest joy in life was her children. Ruth is survived by her children, Margaret McGuire, Phoenix, AZ, Tammy (Joe) Florio Bend, OR, Michael McGuire, Irvine, CA, Jamie (Richard) Garagliano, Sammamish, WA, Colleen (Jerry) Higman, North Tustin, CA, Patrick (Suzanne) McGuire, Scottsdale, AZ, Maureen (Mark) Muir, Encinitas, CA, Joseph (Shannon) McGuire Ladera Ranch, CA. Also survived by 15 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 5 great step-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, Kevin John McGuire. For many years her constant companion was her dog Tilly. Ruth was in declining health in recent years but never lost her sweet disposition, gentle nature and steadfast courage. Viewing will be Friday from 5-7 with a Vigil service at 7:00PM, both at Brown Colonial Mortuary, Santa Ana, CA. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, January 12, 2013 11:00AM at St. John Neumann Irvine, CA and will be celebrated by her grandson Rev. John Parks, Mesa, AZ.
