Reed, Frances Mary (Weling), age 97, was born in Breckenridge, MN on July 1, 1916 and passed away on May 20, 2014 in Tustin, CA. She was married to Willis Reed who passed away in 1968. They moved to California in 1961. She is survived by her children: Michael, Bill (Jane), and Joan. She was preceded in death by her son Stephen, brothers John and Paul, and sister Mary Joan.
Frances was retired from the Newport-Mesa school district. She was a very religious person and was quite active in church work for many years. She loved to read, play games, and spend time with her family and friends. She had 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be profoundly missed.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday, May 27th from 6 to 8 PM at Brown Colonial Mortuary. 204 W. 17th St., Santa Ana, 92706. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 28th at 10 AM at Holy Family Cathedral, 566 S. Glassell St., Orange, 92866. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, Orange.
