Rose Marie Popescu
April 4, 1923 - Feb. 26, 2015
At rest at the age of 91. Dearly beloved wife of the late Marion James Popescu. Adored mother of John Popescu. Rose Marie was originally from Tacoma, WA but came and made San Francisco her home in 1955. She was a Stewardess for United Airlines from 1945 - 1960. Rose Marie was a Parishioner of St. Brendan Church and resided in the Miraloma (Mt. Davidson) area of San Francisco since 1963. She also volunteered at the Pastoral Care Department of Laguna Honda Hospital from 1985 - 1993.
Rose Marie was a generous loving mother, a great cook, and was blessed by being able to travel the country. She will be deeply missed by all who were touched by her caring spirit.
Friends are invited to visit on Thursday, March 5 after 9:00am at the Chapels of Valente Marini Perata and Co., 4840 Mission Street, SF. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated also on Thursday, March 5 at 11:00am at St. Brendan Church in SF. Committal to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
