Poland, June L., of Irvine is resting in peace after complications due to a long struggle with Huntington's disease that took her on August 31, 2011. June was born on May 8, 1946 in Los Angeles, California. She is survived by her husband Ken, her daughter Jennifer and her husband Andrew, three granddaughters; Isabella, Alexis and Emily, and her brother John Turner.

June grew up in Pico Rivera and attended Cal State LA. She was a 29 year employee of Pacific Bell where she was one of the first female Outside Plant Engineers in the company. June had a big heart and a fun personality. She loved to be with her family and many friends. She loved to shop and decorate her home and loved to dine. June will be missed by many.

Her memorial service will be Friday, September 23, 2011 at 2:30pm at Fairhaven Memorial Park in Santa Ana in the Waverley Chapel. There will be a reception immediately following in the Gallery adjacent to Waverley Chapel. In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation to the Huntington's disease Society of America
