Rollin Edwin Newell passed away January 3, 2012. He was 66 years old.
He was born April 29, 1945, to Edwin Franklin Newell, U.S. Army Air Corps, and Phyllis Hope Hake in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin.
Rollin did three tours of duty in Vietnam while serving in the U.S. Navy from 1964-69. He served aboard the USS Richard B. Anderson.
Rollin loved gardening, travel, music and spending time with friends. He was a devoted, wonderful husband.
He volunteered for the Folsom Chamber of Commerce, Powerhouse Ministries, Rotary Club of Historic Folsom and the Mercy Foundation. He graduated from the Folsom Chamber Leadership Program in 1997.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Debbie Newell. They were married August 14, 1976. They have lived in Folsom for 25 years.
A celebration of life is scheduled for 2 p.m. February 12, 20125 at the Folsom Moose Lodge, 203 Scott St., Folsom.
