80, of San Clemente, CA passed away Saturday. He spent his childhood in Birmingham, AL, graduating from Ensley High School in '48 and Auburn University in '52, where he was a proud member of the TKE fraternity. Upon graduating college, Morris became a Navy Pilot, earning his wings at Pensacola. He served on active duty from '54 to '58, then continued to serve his country in the naval reserve, retiring with the rank of Lieutenant. Morris spent an outstanding career with North American Aviation and Rockwell International designing interiors of aircraft and spacecraft in Downey. Don and Sara were very active with their kids in AAU Diving and enjoyed travelling. He was preceded in death by his father, Barton Bonner Morris, his mother Lura Mae Morris Jacobs, his step father, William Alfred Jacobs, a daughter, Donna Johnson and his beloved wife of 50 years, the former Sara Elizabeth Warren. He is survived by a son, Bart (Kate) Morris of Norfolk, Va. and a daughter, Sally (Mike) Volling of San Clemente, and 6 outstanding grandchildren, Sara and Larry Johnson, Jon and Laura Morris and Michael and Austin Volling and a brother, Robert Morris of Jackson, MS and by a wealth of great relatives and friends. A funeral will be held at 11am, Sat, Sept. 3 at St. Andrews By The Sea in San Clemente, CA.
