Mildred Lorena Russo

Mildred was a woman filled with grace who was true to all who knew her.
Born in Gardena, CA; raised in Modesto on her father's peach orchard with brother Mack, sisters Nancy, Kathleen, Barbara and Jeanette. Moved to San Jose in 1938 to attend San Jose State. Graduated in 1941 with a teaching degree. Married the late Clarence Russo in 1945 and had four children Steve (Carmen), Nancy (Carl), David (Crystal) and Dan (Linda). Five grandchildren Elisabeth (John), Sam, Alyssa, Tom and Kim. Numerous nieces and nephews.
Loved cooking, entertaining, gardening, SJSU football and summers at the Rainbow Valley Motel in Montana.
Special thanks to Elizabeth Conteh who cared for Mildred the last four years. Vigil at Chapel of Flowers on Oct. 13 at 7:00pm Funeral Mass at St Christopher's 1576 Curtner Ave., San Jose on Oct. 14 at 11:30am.
