Brown, Max Allen

Brown, Max Allen, 88, passed away on Tuesday morning, February 26, 2013 in Fullerton, CA.

Max served in the Army Reserves during the 1950's and was stationed for two years at Ft. Lewis, WA. He worked as a Lineman for the Southern California Edison Co. for 36 years, retiring in 1987.

He had a love for the outdoors. One of his greatest joys was camping with family and friends on his "ranch" near Kingman, AZ. He also did some hunting and fishing in the Cascade Mountains in Washington State and made a few trips to Alaska which included salmon fishing, clam digging and prospecting for gold.

Max was predeceased by his wife, Coral, in 1992. He is survived by his wife, Mary; step-daughter, Joyce Stout; sister, Jolene Freeman; brothers Forrest Brown and Derwood Johnson; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a large extended family. Max was a kind, gentle man who will be dearly missed by those who were fortunate enough to have known him.

Services are for Friday, March 8, 2013 at Loma Vista Memorial Park, 701 E. Bastanchury Rd., Fullerton, CA. Viewing will be held 10:00am to noon in the Chapel at Loma Vista with a graveside service immediately following. Phone number for Loma Vista Memorial is 714-525-1575. In lieu of flowers donations may be made on behalf of Max to The Alzheimer's Association.
