Patrick J. Marrinan, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, died on October 27, 2011 from heart failure. He was 82.
Pat was born in Phoenix, Arizona. Soon thereafter his family moved to San Bernardino and then to Los Angeles. He attended Loyola High School and Loyola University, obtaining a B.A. in English in 1950 and a secondary teaching credential in 1951.
While in high school, Pat met Marcella Ryan, the love of his life. Pat and Marcella were married September 1, 1951 and had 60 beautiful years together. Pat devoted his life to Marcella and their seven children, of whom he was most proud.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Marcella, his children and their spouses, Patrick Jr. (Nancy), Michael (Susan), Terry Baker (Ken), Molly Decker (Chris), Tim (Nancy), Judy Kenneally (Brendan) and Katie Ward (Tony), eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 655 C Avenue, Coronado, CA. 9218 on Thursday, November 3, at 11:00 a.m., followed by a reception. Inurnment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in San Diego.
