Bacchini-Minghetti, Mafalda
Passed away Dec. 4, 2012, at the age of 100. She is survived by her loving children, Dr. Phil Minghetti and Paula Minghetti; cherished grandchildren Vince and Edward Scola, Trevor, Crystal and Christine Eckstein; and great-grandchild Philip Scola. Preceded in death by her husband Paul and son Eddie Scola.
Mafalda was born in Nichols (Port Chicago), CA and moved to Florin, CA where she was raised on her family's ranch. Mafalda married Paul Minghetti in 1940 and moved to Elk Grove, CA where she remained until her death. Mafalda was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Elk Grove for 72 years. She was a well-known fixture at Frenchies drive-in, where she worked for 16 years.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation Friday, Dec. 14th from 12:00-5:00 PM at Herberger's Elk Grove Funeral Chapel, 9101 Elk Grove Blvd., (916) 686-1888. A mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, Dec. 15th at 12:00 noon at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 9961 Elk Grove-Florin Rd., Elk Grove, CA. Interment will follow immediately after at St. Mary's Cemetery. 6700 21st Ave., Sacramento.
