Our beloved sister, aunt, & friend Genevieve A. (Heying) Linhoff, age 97, passed away peacefully in her sleep. Gen was born in Brooten, MN to Ernest & Mary Heying. The 11th of 13 children, she was raised in Richmond, MN and graduated from Eden Valley High School. In 1953, she moved to Los Angeles where she met her life-long companion George Costello at the Arthur Murray Dance Studio. Gen began working for the Los Angeles Angels at Dodger Stadium, and then moved to Anaheim when the Angels relocated to Orange County. Gen worked for the Angels for over 35 years. She was actively involved at St. Justin Martyr Catholic Church as a Eucharistic Minister and as a member of the Bereavement Ministry. Gen is survived by her brother, Ernest Heying of Fallon, NV and her sister, Dolores Schloeder of Richmond, MN, as well as many devoted nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest & Mary Heying of Richmond, MN, George Costello and 10 brothers and sisters. A mass of Christian Burial will take place on June 28, 2023 at 10:00 am at St. Justin Martyr’s Catholic Church in Anaheim, CA. A second Funeral Mass will be held July 22, 2023 at SS Peter & Paul in Richmond, MN followed by inurnment there.
