KRAVER, RICHARD ALAN, of Boca Raton, Florida, passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 16, 2011 with loving family at his bedside, after a valiant 10-year battle with cancer. Richard Kraver -- born October 20, 1941 and raised in Great Neck, New York -- spent his adult life in Miami Beach, Aspen and Boca Raton. Known for his entrepreneurial spirit, Richard first helped grow the family business, Kravex Mfg., into the successful company it became. After forming Rally Mfg. with a partner in the United States, together they grew it into a successful automotive manufacturing company. After a brief Aspen retirement, Richard's entrepreneurial spirit resurfaced and -- joined by a new partner -- Aspen Pet Products was born, introducing the world to squeaky plush toys, floppy discs and high-end dog leashes and collars. After its sale, creative juices again led him to create Variety Pet Foods and its innovative lines of premium pet food and biscuits. Richard is survived by his beloved wife Tina Marie; his adoring children Isabella, Nicholas, Sasha, Kim Kraver Lee and Pamela Peery; his much-loved sister Cathy Kraver Yergin and brother-in-law Bruce Yergin; sons-in-law Sam Lee and Gordon Peery; cherished grandchildren Kyle, Alexander, and Cooper Lee and David and Allison Peery; and nieces Ilana Yergin Doniger and Mindy Yergin.
