Wayne Kingsford-Smith Passed away at Sequoia Hospital on October 18, 2011 at the age of 71. Born and raised in California Wayne was a resident of Redwood City for 50 years and graduated college with a Bachelors Degree. A proud American citizen having served in the United States Air Force, Wayne took tremendous pride in his work and showed his devotion to Southern Pacific Railroad, as a tax accountant for the company for more then 40+ years. Wayne was an avid 49er's fan who loved his sports and talking politics. He is preceded in death by his father Basil Kingsford-Smith, and mother Hazel Blanchard. Wayne was an independent, intelligent, and caring friend to those that knew him. He touched the lives of many and will forever be missed. Friends may visit on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 after 10:00 am and are invited to attend a funeral service at 12:00 pm at Crippen & Flynn Woodside Chapel, 400 Woodside Road, Redwood City.
