Kanjer, Anthony

Kanjer, Anthony passed away at 86 years old on June 23, 2015. He was born on Feb. 15, 1929 in Bokanjac, Croatia. Anthony had 5 siblings whom all predecease him. Anthony fled his homeland across the Adriatic Sea in a rowboat as a young man. He lived and worked in Italy until he was able to go to America. He lived in Cleveland, OH until he met his future wife Susan. They were married in San Francisco in 1965. Anthony was a master level tool and die maker. He was an active member at St. Anthony's Croatian Church and frequently attended Croatian festivities. His hobbies included socializing with friends, gardening, road cycling and soccer. Anthony is survived by his wife of 49 years, Susan; his daughter, Annamaria (David) Praga of Richland WA; his daughter, Lucille (Trent) Larson of Leominster, MA; and his daughter, Kathleen (Steven) Martineau of Newport Beach, CA. He has 5 grandchildren: Nicole, Alyssa and Danielle Praga, and Anthony and Elizabeth Larson. Services include a viewing at Saddleback Chapel, Tustin on July 22 from 5-9 p.m. (Rosary at 7p.m.); a funeral mass on July 23, at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony Croatian Church, Los Angeles; and burial at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, Orange on July 24.
