John Bartholemew Howard Passed away September 10th at his home in San Francisco after a long struggle with lung disease. A lifelong San Franciscan and graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, he was a Veteran of the United States Army and a shipyard worker before becoming a driver and later a partner at Yellow Cab. John was the younger son of Eugene and Julia (Reidy) and brother to Eugene Howard and Julia Cummins, with whom he is now reunited. He is survived by sister-in-law Virginia of Santa Rosa, nephew, Jerry and wife Kate and grand-niece, Erin of New Orleans, numerous friends, and the City that he loved.
Friends are invited to share memories of John at a Memorial Service to be held on Saturday, December 22nd at 11:00 am at the Chapel of Holy Cross Cemetery, 1500 Old Mission Road, Colma, CA.
