Castillo, Irene Sadana, passed away in San Francisco CA on February 23rd at the age of 68. Irene was the beloved mother of Rita Castillo Cooper, John Castillo, Antoinette Castillo, Dolores Martinez, and daughter-in-law Arlene Castillo. Irene was also the beloved sister to Raul (Mary Jane) Saldana, Victor Saldana Jr., Socorro (Adalberto) Paz, Dolores (Jose) Reyes, Thomas B. Garcia and Jaime Garcia. She will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Irene was predeceased by her daughter Mary Helen, brother Edward Saldana and son-in-law Randy Cooper.

We were so fortunate that the best times in Irene's life were celebrated during the latter part of her life. She enjoyed participating in and helping to raise and care for her grandchildren. Irene was able to witness many graduation celebrations and watch the children grow into wonderful people. Irene also enjoyed going on monthly bus trips to Reno NV and the annual Pow Wow's held at Standford University with her close friend Elenor. She will be sorely missed. We all should take heart in the fact that a little bit of Irene will always remain with us inside our hearts until the day that we all reunite with her.

A celebration of Irene's life will be held at the Fairhaven Mortuary and Funeral home in Santa Ana CA with visitation on Monday March 4th (4-8 PM) and services on Tuesday March 5th at the Waverly Chapel from 8:30-10:30 AM where she will be laid to rest.
