Tributes for

Hundley, Marion E.

Hundley, Marion E. After living in YL for almost 50 years, Marion peacefully passed away on June 13, at the home of his son and daughter in law, in Poway, CA. He was 84. Marion was a devoted husband, loving father and dearly loved grandfather. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, his sweet wife, Bobbie in March, 2011, just one week following their 56th wedding anniversary. After losing Bobbie, Marion's health spiraled downward. He'd suffered from CHF and associated ailments, but those close to Marion agree, he died from a broken heart. Marion retired from his career with Hughes Aircraft Co., in Fullerton, when he was 55. He became involved in many Yorba Linda area activities. He was a charter member of the Yorba Linda VFW Post 9030, and for almost 40 years Marion was active in Toastmasters International. He has been described by a fellow member as the "Ultimate Toastmaster". Marion is survived by his 4 children, Stephanie Paul, Bruce Hundley (Vickie), Christy Perez (Frank) and Douglas Hundley (Lauralyn). Marion will be missed by all, including his 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandsons. In early July, Marion and Bobbie's ashes were interred at Pleasant View Cemetery in Olney, Illinois, a historic cemetery only a short distance from where Marion grew up on a farm. A Memorial Service for Marion will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 11:30 am at the Yorba Linda Community Center. A buffet luncheon will follow.
