Tributes for

Stephenson, Helen Marie

Stephenson, Helen Marie, of Placentia, passed away on August 23, 2013, after a twenty month battle with brain cancer. Helen was born October 26, 1940 in Little Falls, New York, the only child of Americo and Pacifica Terenzetti. Helen was a homemaker for 51 years. She enjoyed reading and crocheting, but her greatest passion was taking care of others. Nothing made her happier than preparing a homemade Italian dinner and spending time with family and friends. She looked forward to every minute spent with children and grandchildren, and their wellbeing and happiness was what she lived for. She was an amazing woman who treated her family like royalty, her friends like family, and strangers like friends. She is survived by her loving husband, Charles David Stephenson; children John Stephenson, Lyn King, and David Stephenson; daughters-in-law Lori Stephenson and Kim Stephenson; grandchildren Craig Covarrubia, Brittany King, Drew Stephenson, Shelby King, Conner King, Grace Stephenson, Brendan King, and Lena Stephenson; and great grandchildren Ben Covarrubia and Allie Covarrubia, as well as extended family and many amazing friends. Throughout her illness, she never complained and was known to say “A lot of people are worse off than me.” She was grateful for the incredible care she received from doctors and nurses at UCI. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The UCI Foundation, 333 The City Drive West, Suite 605, Orange, CA 92868. In the memo line please note Dr. Bota, Brain and Spinal Cancer Research. A memorial service will be held Friday, August 30th, at 4:00 pm, McAuley & Wallace Mortuary, 902 N. Harbor Blvd., Fullerton, CA.
