Araiza, "Gus" Gustavo 12/03/1953 ~ 01/01/2013 RAMONA -- Gus passed away unexpectedly at the age of 59 years young. He was born and raised in Calexico, Calif. where he served as a Fireman and Police Officer. He had a long successful career with CBP-Air Interdiction Unit at March AFB and spent over three years as Director of Air & Marine Drug Interdiction in Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands. He retired in 2007. Before passing, Gus worked as campus security at Mt. Carmel High School where he touched and made a difference in several young lives and staff. He is survived by his wife, Yvonne; and children, Eric and Jaclyn. Gus was a great amazing man who will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 12 at 1pm at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church in Poway. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made to: lifesharing.org/gifts
