Grow, Col. Lowell (Doug) USMC Retired Born on December 23, 1919 in Huntsville, Utah passed away peacefully at home July 21, 2011. He is survived by his wife Beautrice, sons, Dr. Jeffrey of Willimsburg, Va and John of San Clemente. He is survived by four grandchildren and one great grandchild. Col. Grow served throughout the war in the pacific, from Guadalcanal to Okinawa, then on to the Korean war as Squadran Commander. He retired in 1969 as Commanding Officer after 28 years of actice duty of the Marine Barracks at Treasure Island in San Fransisco. He began a career in investment banking until his retirement in 1989. Services will be held at the Shore Cliff Chapel at Camino San Clemente on Saturday July 30, viewing will be at 10am with 11am service. Interment at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego. Doug was a high Preist and Temple worked in The Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints.
