Lena Ferrando
Passed away peacefully at the age of 92 years, at her daughter's and son-in-law's home.
She was born May 25, 1923. Graduated from Commerce High School in 1942.
She is predeceased by husband Joseph (Giuli) Ferrando of 62 years.
Lena and her husband had two daughters, Candy (Dan) Cocilova and Debbie (Ben) Vigil. Loving Nonni to David, Diane, Danielle, Joey, Jason and Justine. "Old Nonni" to 10 great-grandchildren; much loved aunt to Donald (Carol) Nurisso; Survived by a niece Louise Ghiorzi, many cousins in San Francisco and Italy.
Lena loved to cook ; that was her passion. In later years, she worked at Danilo Bakery in North Beach into her 80s. Lena's picture will live on in San Francisco on Vallejo Street Parking Garage wall. She left her heart in San Francisco

Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Monday, November 30 from 4pm to 8pm with a Vigil at 7pm at HALSTED N. GRAY - CAREW & ENGLISH, 1123 Sutter St., SF. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, December 1 at 10am at St. Teresa Church, 1490 19th St., SF, followed by entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma.
