Tributes for

Danker, Dru

We, her family mourn the unexpected passing of Dru Danker. Her life on earth, a life that brightened all of ours, ended on Christmas morning. She now joins her loving grandparents, Stella and Benjamin Danker, Dorothy and John Young; her brother, Bruce; and her father, Druary in Heaven.

Dru was born to Barbara and Druary Danker on January 4, 1956. She attended Foothill High School and graduated in 1974. In 1979 she married Ken Albin, who, after a brief marriage, preceded her in death. She was a member of Saddleback Community Church. Dru was a faithful and committed employee of UPS for over 25 years cultivating numerous friendships along the way.

She waged a grace filled and courageous fight against cancer and was a committed supporter of Relay for Life. She loved dogs, especially taking Sandy for walks on the beach in Laguna. She was always helping others and enjoyed being with family and friends. Dru took special pride in making her home a warm and welcoming place.

She is remembered as a kind and benevolent person and in a final act of generosity donated her organs so that others might benefit.

She will live on in the hearts of her mother, Barbara; brothers, Mark Danker and Brian Power (Debby); nieces, Shauna and Alicia; nephew, Matthew; aunts, and uncles, Barbara and Dan Oldewage, Willard Danker, Brenda and Harry Wilson; cousin, Paige (Lance Lovell) their children Jacob and Emily; many other family members and friends, especially her loving companion, David Boyles and lifelong friends, Linda and Don Derringer.

Please come join us as we celebrate her life this Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Saddleback Chapel, 220 E Main St, Tustin, CA 92780, Phone (714) 544-1450.

There will be a gathering at the Boyles' residence in Tustin immediately following the service and all are welcomed to join us.
