A Rosary will be recited at Shannon-Bryan Mortuary in Orange on Feb. 5th at 7pm and a funeral mass at Holy Family Cathedral in Orange on Feb 6th at 12pm. She will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulcher in Orange immediately following the funeral mass

She attended St. Mary’s Catholic School in Anaheim and graduated from Marywood High School in 1946. After completing her AA degree at Immaculate Heart College in Westwood, she became an X-Ray Technician, working at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Orange for many years. She married in 1965, and adopted two daughters, Mary Catherine in 1966 and Judy Carmen in 1969. Her daughters were her joy. She became a homemaker when the girls arrived so she could dedicate her life to them. She spent many years is service to their catholic church and schools, proudly sending her daughters to St. Cecilia and Mater Dei.

In 1980 she went back to work as an X-Ray Tech working for private doctors. She continued her career until grandchildren arrived, retiring in the mid 1990’s.

She is survived by her sister, Juanita Garcia, two daughters, Mary Hellman and Judy Mottl, their spouses, Doug Hellman and Thomas Mottl, her grandchildren, Jessica, Jennifer, Alex and Andrew Hellman and Charlie, Anna and Matthew Mottl, and one great-grandchild Brooklyn Handyside.
