Tributes for

Dieball, John A.

Dieball, John A., 79, of Orange, died peacefully on September 18, 2015 from heart failure. He was married to Joan Dieball for 59 years who was by his side when he passed. He was born to the late Norman and Helen Dieball, August 24, 1936 in Detroit, Michigan. He graduated from Westchester High School and received a BA in Business Administration from Pepperdine University in 1958. He passed his CPA examination in 1959 and became licensed in 1960. John was the CFO of Measured Marketing Services, before founding the Jadtec Companies in 1983 where he recently served as Chairman of the Board. John was a renaissance man, passionate about family, food, wine, travel and music. Out of his love for Dixieland Jazz, he co-directed and founded the Orange County Classic Jazz Festival from 1999 to 2011 where bands and thousands of enthusiasts from around the world traveled to Costa Mesa for the annual event. He was most proud of "A Concert with Twin Pianos," a concert he produced bringing two world-renowned ragtime stride pianists together on stage at the Segerstrom Concert Hall in 2013. John is survived by his wife, Joan; two children and son-in-law: Jodi and Dave Murphy, of Emerald Hills, and Jeri DeMartini of Anaheim Hills; and four grandchildren, Jonathan, Erin, Molly and Andrew. His zest for life lives on through his extended family and friends whom he loved so dearly. A celebration of his life mass will be held at St. Norbert Catholic Church at 11:00 AM, Friday, September 25. The burial will take place immediately following at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery. Instead of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Christ Cathedral Hazel Wright Organ Restoration Fund, forchristforever.org/organ-restoration.
